Colorado could join compact to change how US decides President

Colorado lawmakers will begin discussions today on a bill that would change how the US chooses its president. The legislation would have the state join an interstate compact where all the electoral college votes would go to the candidate who wins the popular vote. The compact however wouldn’t go into effect until enough states with a total of 270 electoral votes sign on. 270 is the number needed to win the presidency. Rep. Jeni Arndt is co-sponsoring the bill.
