Colorado was named the 11th “drunkest state.” That’s according to a study by security website SafeHome.org that analyzed alcohol drinking stats in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., which topped the list. Colorado had the eighth-highest percentage of drinkers on the list, at nearly 65%. That’s almost 20% higher than the 46.2% of Weld County adults who reported drinking in the past 30 days in the county’s 2016 Community Health Survey. Data from the 2019 survey is not yet available.
