Loveland High School student involved in car crash has died

UPDATE- A 17-year-old Loveland High School student involved in a car crash earlier this month has died. In an update to a CaringBridge website, Sarah Ekart’s family announced that she died peacefully Wednesday night surrounded by her loved ones. Ekart and three of her friends were driving back from Fort Collins during a snowstorm Feb. 7 when they were involved in a multi-vehicle wreck on Harmony Road and Shields Street, according to a press release from Fort Collins Police Services. Ekart was in a coma. The group had been out celebrating Ekart’s 17th birthday.
