Poudre Fire deals with two rescues within hour of each other

Poudre Fire Authority personnel had a busy midday Tuesday, dealing with two rescues–one near Horsetooth Falls, the other on the Poudre River. The rescue of the hiker in the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space resulted in the need for it to be a rope rescue before the injured hiker was airlifted out of the park for treatment. On the river, the rescue team was able to get stranded boater from an island in the Poudre back to the shoreline near the Linden Street Bridge.
