The suspect in a Wednesday morning fatal shooting in Longmont has been arrested in New Mexico.
Longmont Police say Richard Martinez was arrested in Espanola, New Mexico, with the assistance of that town’s police department and New Mexico State Police.
A charge of first-degree murder is pending against him tied to the shooting of 34 year old Matthew Bond early Wednesday morning. Martinez remains jailed in New Mexico, awaiting extradition.
