American flags can be seen along Mountain Avenue in Berthoud just ahead of Veterans Day. Every year the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 67 hangs the flags to fly proudly from Memorial Day to Veterans Day with each one representing a veteran who is part of the Berthoud community. There are currently 39 flags representing Berthoud veterans. Each has a dog tag naming who the flag stands for. The unit is also having its annual Veterans Day celebration at Berthoud High School on Monday to honor Berthoud’s veterans.
