Former priest jailed for sexual assault makes parole pitch

A month ago, a special report from the Colorado AG’s Office highlighted the allegations of abuse committed by Catholic priests in the state. Today, one of those serving time for such assaults locally made his third pitch for parole. Timothy Evans is in his 12th year of a 14 year sentence for sexually assualting a teenage boy at a Fort Collins church. The Colorado Department of Corrections will make a determination on granting Evans parole in the next few weeks, but one board member noted Evans would face lifetime monitoring, according to The Coloradoan.
