EUGENE, Ore. — Colorado couldn’t hold on to a lead down the stretch Thursday, as Oregon rallied to take a 68-60 win over the Buffaloes at Matthew Knight Arena.
The loss dropped CU to 19-6 overall and 8-4 in Pac-12 play while the Ducks pulled into a tie with Colorado for the league lead, improving to 19-6, 8-4. It sets up a critical game Saturday at Oregon State for Colorado.
The Buffs led by as much as 14 in the first half and by nine at intermission, but the Ducks whittled away at the lead in the second half and outscored Colorado 15-2 over the last five minutes of the game for the win.
Evan Battey finished with a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Buffs, his fourth of the year; D’Shawn Schwartz had 14 points and five rebounds; and Shane Gatling scored 11.
Will Richardson led Oregon with 21 points and Peyton Pritchard had a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double.
CU committed 18 turnovers in the game, leading to a 16-5 edge in points off turnovers for Oregon.
