Rams Earn Senior Day Win Over Air Force

Following the annual pre-game ceremony, the visitors took the early lead, going up 8-4. However, a 9-0 run put CSU up for good as the Rams took a 13-8 lead and would lead for more than 36 minutes of the contest. Behind better than 65 percent shooting from the field in the opening 20 minutes, the Rams built as much as a 17-point lead and took a 14-point advantage into the break. The double-digit lead was maintained most of the second half before the Falcons got it down to eight with 1:12 to play. However, CSU salted the game away at the free throw line, making 7-of-8 in the final stretch for the 13-point victory.

For the game, CSU finished at 55.8 percent (29-of-52) from the floor and 41.9 percent (13-of-31) from the three-point line. Air Force was 47.4 percent (27-of-57) from the field, but just 32.1 percent (9-of-28) from the arc. CSU forced 11 Air Force turnovers and converted those into 13 points.
