Avalanche Closes Homestand Against Blue Jackets

After a 9-4 victory over the Nashville Predators on Thursday, the Colorado Avalanche looks to keep the momentum up when it faces the Columbus Blue Jackets at Pepsi Center on Saturday. The Avs improved their record to 9-5-2 this season, earning 20 of the possible 32 points, putting the club in a tie for second place in the Central Division with the Predators.

Nathan MacKinnon notched a four-point (one goal, three assists) night against the Preds to extend his season total to 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists). Cale Makar had a three-point (one goal, two assists) outing on Thursday to increase his totals to 15 points (two goals, 13 assists), putting him in second place for Colorado and first place among all NHL rookies.
