3 Balfour employees in Louisville charged with making false reports

Three employees of a senior living facility in Louisville face charges of making false domestic violence reports that led to one of their elderly residents being arrested. Joshua Merrill and Kara Roberts, who work for Balfour Senior Living, face charges of attempting to influence a public servant, false reporting, abuse of an at-risk elder and caretaker neglect. They’re accused of telling police an elderly man smacked his wife repeatedly though she suffers from memory issues and couldn’t recall the abuse.
