US Agriculture Secretary visits Greeley school

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack stopped by a Greeley school this week to make a major announcement. Vilsack visited Maplewood Elementary Wednesday to announce expanded access to healthy school meals for students nationwide. Vilsack announced $60 million in federal grant money would go towards two school meal programs. The announcement raises the likelihood that all students in Greeley-Evans School District will continue to eat for free next year. Nearly 65 of students in Greeley-Evans are eligible for free or reduced meals.
