FBI offers $50K reward to solve Weld Co. cold case

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward if you can help solve a cold case in Weld County. John Jacoby, who was known as the “unofficial mayor” of Windsor, was fatally shot while riding his bike at Weld County roads 15 and 72 eight years ago in 2015. Police said Jacoby’s killing was linked to another shooter about a month earlier in 2015. In that case, police said two shots were fired at a young woman as she was merging from Harmony Road on southbound I-25. Anyone with information is asked to NoCo Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477.
