Workforce development and behavioral health programs in Weld County are getting a financial shot in the arm. The Weld Trust awarded nearly $1.3 million in grants to 20 non-profits and schools in the county. Ten Weld County school districts and nonprofits got more than $500,000 to help employers develop training programs and connect workers to jobs. K-12 schools also received funding to assist high school youth with career exploration and post-secondary internships, apprenticeships, and certification. Another $770,000 was devoted to nonprofits doing behavioral health work in the community.
